What is the ENTRY BC TOUR?
The Entry Backcountry Tour is designed for those taking their first step into the backcountry or those who want a refresher.
On this tour, participants will learn the essential skills and knowledge for safe backcountry snowboarding/skiing—such as how to handle specialized gear, how to walk in deep snow, and how to recognize and avoid potential dangers.
Two professional guides (a lead guide and a tail guide) will accompany you, ensuring safety and providing step-by-step support while you build confidence in the basics of backcountry.
This tour is recommended for those who:
- Are taking their first step into the backcountry
- Would like to review and relearn the basics
Participation conditions
- Those who have the physical strength to carry around 5 kg or more on their backs in the snowy mountains for about 3 and a half hours.
- Those who can ski / ride non-pressured slopes in the ski resort without falling with confidence.

ENTRY BC participants can borrow backcountry equipment for free.
