Date of birth: March 5, 1973
Birthplace: Born in Kamakura, Kanagawa Prefecture. Currently resides in Niseko.
Spent a season riding with Tomoki Takaku in Canada after graduating from high school.
This was the beginning of his snowboarding career. Primarily based in Hokkaido, he spent the high season in Canada, France, Austria, Switzerland, and the U.S. spending all his time exploring the backcountry.
He spent the winter seasons of 1997, 2000, 2002 and 2004 riding in Alaska. In 2000 he spent the entire winter living in a tent.
In 2005, he became a guide for POWDER COMPANY GUIDES and has been guiding ever since.
The knowledge and experience gained while climbing and exploring Niseko's backcountry over and over again throughout the years, enables him to find the best route in any situation.
