Date of birth: September 7, 1972
Birthplace: Born in Fujisawa City, Kanagawa Prefecture. Currently resides in Niseko.
A freeride snowboarder who has been active in the extreme and freeride world since the early 1990s.
He has climbed and descended the highest peak in Mongolia (4378m) and has skied in Alaska, Siberia, South America, and other big mountains overseas.
He has been filmed on the steep slopes of Alaska, camped on glaciers, and has appeared in many videos.
Based in Niseko, he has led the winter mountain guiding group "POWDER COMPANY GUIDES" since 1999 and is also active as a backcountry snowboard guide.
Through riding clinics and tours, he works to improve the skills of his guests and advocates safe and fun snowboarding.
He is involved in the research and development of THE NORTH FACE clothing line, winter jackets, backpacks, and other items.
He has his own PRO snowboard models from GENTEMSTICK. "GT" and "BIG FLOATER"
He runs a test center and guide office in Niseko Annupuri International Ski Resort.
During the summer, he operates "SUP niseko", a SUP guide service in the rivers and ocean around Niseko.
In 2017, he established surfing lessons, SUP guiding, and a snowboard pro store in Shonan to connect the ocean with the snowy mountains.
With Niseko and Shonan at the core of his life, he travels all over Japan.
